That's how MATÉRIELÉ came to life.

Our name comes from the French word matériel—material. It reflects the way we think about design: always beginning with the fabric, the texture, the weight, the finish. Long before a piece becomes a sofa, a curtain or an armchair, it begins with a material that inspires it.

We spend countless hours discovering exceptional textiles, exploring craftsmanship and refining details that many people may never consciously notice—but instinctively feel.
